Cartoon Saturday

Two women and two children were found dead Friday in a Maryland home so full of trash and human waste that it "(gave) the appearance of a landfill;" two people were killed in a horrific traffic accident in Missouri in which a tractor was rear-ended by a pickup truck which was then struck in the rear by one school bus, which was then struck by another school bus; wildfires raging in Russia have left Moscow shrouded in thick, noxious smoke; health inspectors in Oregon shut down a child's lemonade stand because she was operating without a license; and a woman in Atlanta whose hands were tied to the headboard of her bed by a home invader was rescued after she used her toes to type a message for help on her laptop computer.

Once again Cartoon Saturday rides to your mental rescue in the nick of time.

Sometimes, you can take a good idea too far ...

Our area is infested with these ...

There are parts of the story that didn't make it past the editor into the Bible ...

Yes, things are a lot different now than they were when we were young ...

In today's tight job market, it pays to make your application stand out from all the others ...

And finally, it always pays to make sure the contractor really understands your requirements ...

It looks like it's going to be a nice weekend, which you'll need to get you ready to face the political buffoonery of another week. As the robo-calls and the door-to-door visits from clueless campaign workers ramp up in preparation for the November elections, it pays to remember ol' Bilbo's sage advice:

No charge.

Have a good day and a great weekend. More thoughts tomorrow.

Bilbo

New rule, "Hit the lawyer, first." Love it!

That story about the women killed in PG County was just bizarre...

Also, does the "vote for nobody" come as a bumper sticker??
